Host Becky Hennesy catches up with Tori Petersen, who was one of the many guest speakers at the recent Reformers Collective Conference held at Trinity Church (Cedar Hill, Texas) on October 18-19, 2021.
Tori is the current reigning Mrs. Universe (2022) and she intends on using her new platform to vocalize a troubling issue that hits close to home: foster care. Tori spent several years in the system as a child and experienced a fair share of corruption and carelessness.
She is part of a new breed of young rising reformers in America who are ready to take center stage as passionate advocates for positive change in society. Tori is a dedicated believer in Jesus who was convinced of the Gospel's power after her church's pastors created a culture of helping families in need (through fostering children themselves).
It's clear that Becky and Tori have become fast friends in just the last few months and their conversation will inspire listeners to consider ways to be part of godly reform in our nation's foster care system.
